The Rittenhouse Company started in 1903 as a manufacturer of small electrical devices  and wiring accessories.  The company was merged into Emerson Electric in 1961.  Around this time, the first Rittenhouse intercom was introduced.  Over the years, several models were sold, some that were communication only and others with radio and intercom.  Rittenhouse intercom systems are no longer sold and replacement parts are not available.
