The Vacu-Maid Metal Wall Inlet is a non-electric, pin jack inlet. There are two low voltage contacts inside the inlet that connect with the hose. This allows the central vacuum system to be turned on and off from the switch in the hose handle. This inlet will work with most non-electric hoses.

This inlet has a full metal door.  The hinge on the door keeps the door closed when not in use preventing loss of suction.  The Vacu-Maid SF290 Back Plate should be used for proper installation. Screws are included and do not show when the door is closed. Available in a variety of colors to match your decor.

    I have a 1988 VacuMaid system. Will this fit it or in the alternative, can I get the rubber mat that stops the suction when other inlets are being used? It is leaking causing less suction.

    This will fit and has pin-jacks for low voltage connection.  This is the seal you are speaking about.

    I need to replace my Nutone whole house vac 2 pin inlets, the 2 mounting screws are centered, yours have 4 screw holes, do you offer a Nutone compatible part with 2 centered screws?
