The Dyson 966870-01 G Brushbar Assembly UP14 is an aftermarket replacement two-piece brushbar that is located inside the cleaner head to agitate carpet fibers to release dirt, dust and debris so it can be sucked into the vacuum. Your brushbar will need to be replaced when the bristles wear out.     The length of teh longer brush is 7 1/4 from endcap to brushroll end.  The shorter brush is 4 1/4" from end cap to brushroll end.
