  A:

  A friction wand is a hose and wand that connects by pushing together until tight.  A button lock is a button that is on the central vacuum handle that pushes down when inserted into the wand.  The button then pops out through a hole in the wand to hold the wand to the hose handle.

   350W should not have any relevance in this hose working.  If you have Nutone inlets thaThis hose works with Nutone N360W inlets.  The Unit modelt are about 4" wide and 3" high then this universal hose will work.

  Yes it will.  This hose end has a universal cuff with a metal band.  It will turn the unit on as soon as you plug it into the inlet.

  A:

  This can be done with an extension hose.  This hose has a female end that your current hose can plug into, and a male end that plugs into the wall and turns the unit on automatically.  This can be used for air only products.

  Yes this universal hose will fit the inlet on the Dirt Devil Central Vacuum Unit canister.  If other attachments would be preferred to clean a car, another options would be a 30' garage kit.

  This hose will fit all 1 3/8"-1 1/2" inlets that turn on automatically once the hose is plugged in.  The vacuum model typically does not have any bearing on the hose that can be used.

  This hose will work with nearly any central vac system.  The central vac unit does not have any bearing on the hose.  The straight suction hose turns the unit on automatically when the hose is plugged in.  The wand end is firction fit which means it just presses on.

  I'm looking for a replacement 6' electrical power cord to connect from the wall outlet to a Nutone Model 350W hose. I see Catalog #4 and LR 44129 on the end of the hose. Please advise part number and $.

  A:

  The replacement pigtail cord should be this.  This plugs into your current hose with almost a hose look on the end with tappered edges.

  The model number of the unit does not tell you what type of hose you need.  This is a standard hose that turns the system on when you plug it in.  It is a pretty standard hose that fit most inlets.  It cannot run an electric carpet brush.

• Q:

  I have an old (1980's) nutone central vac. I recently purchased a standard replacement hose which does not fit into the wall outlet. The new hose has a 1 3/8 inch plug in end while the old hose ( hose end is all metal so as to contact the switches in the wall outlet to start the vacuum) has a diameter of 1 1/4 inch. The new hose with a rubber end and metal ring will only fit in part way into the wall outlet and not far enough for the metal ring to make contact the switches to start the vac. Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Can the end be replaced with a new end that will fit a 1 1/4 wall outlet? Any suggestion swill be appreciated.

  A:

  It depending on what cuff end was placed on the end of the hose.  There are different versions.  The cuff end that comes on the end of the 12007 standard hose is tapered and will fit into Nutone wall inlets.  Other cuff ends do not fit Nutone wall inlets.

  Will this hose fit an old AirVac3500 system with a 1.5 inch suction opening and 2 prong connection?

  A:

  This will fit in older Airvac inlets that are 1 1/2".  If the 2 prongs you are referring to are inside in the inlet, then you are ok.  If you are talking about the two prongs above or below the hole, yes the hose will fit, but it will not bring electric to an electric beater brush or powerhead.  This would require a different hose.  This hose turn the unit on when it is plugged into the vacuum inlet.  If there are further questions, please call in to discuss.  800-533-3249
