The Nutone DB300WH door speaker is no longer available.  An exact replacement is the M&S DS3B Door Speaker.

The NuTone Door Speaker has a voice communication interface that allows 2-way voice communication between the visitor and the resident.  It is weather resistant and has a lighted bell button that rings a chime at the master and intercom speakers.  It is generally mounted next to entry doors.

The Nutone door speaker is compatible with current NM100 and NM200 models as well as most older models except the IK15 and IK25.   For new installations, either the Recessed Rough-in or Surface Mount Box is required.  For replacements, either the Retrofit Frame  or Surface Mount Box is required.  Use the Retrofit Frame if the current speaker goes inside the wall and protrudes about a 1/2".  Use the Surface Mount Box if the current speaker sits on top of the wall and protrudes about 1 1/2 to 2".  The door speaker is available in four color options:

    I am interested in an indoor/outdoor intercom system. The door to my house does not have a porch overhang. The speaker will be fully exposed to the elements. Will the system withstand that type of abuse?

    A:

    The speakers are rated for outdoor use and are considered weather proof.  Over time outdoor units are subject to fail to to weather.  A Lot of factors can increase or decrease lifespan such as location of house and which direction precip. comes from, how often precip. happens, etc.

    Will this door bell work with the Nutone IM-4006 Intercom System???

    A:

    It will, however you will need a new updated surface box (if it stick out from the wall 2") or a new update frame (if it is flush and sticks out only 1/2").

    Any Nutone IM series intercom door station requires a retrofit frame if is recessed, or a surface mount box if it sticks out from the wall about 2".

    These can work with the system but will require an update frame or new surface mount box.

    Yes, but you will either need a new surface mount box (if the unit stick out from the wall 2 inches), or an update frame (if the station currently sticks out a 1/2 inch).

    Will the NuTone NDB300WH work with the NuTone IM-4406 Intercom Model?

    A:

    Yes the NDB300WH door speaker will work with the IM-4406 master.  You will need to purchase a NF300DWH frame if your current speaker is recessed or a NES300DWH if your current speaker is surface mounted.
