The Intrasonic Builder Tech Series Ceiling Speakers come as a pair and are great to install in large rooms along with an intercom speaker to provide greater music volume. They can also be installed in rooms along with a volume control when intercom functions are not needed. The I30C speakers are compatible with Intrasonic intercoms and virtually any brand of music distribution system the use a 8ohm speaker. A separate rough-in for these speakers is not required.

    I am trying to replace an 8 inch speaker from a 1960s intercom/stereo system. The original was a Jensen Super Shallow Speaker Syntox 6. What would you recommend?

    A:

    The speakers that we sell are 8 oHm's.  If the old speaker is/was, then any speaker we have will work.  You can choose from these.  Check the dimensions.  Some speakers are measured using speaker cone size, and others are measured by outside diameter of the speaker face.
